Picasa Webcam Album
This uses the free webcam timershot available at the bottom right of this page...

I set it to save a picture to c:\webcam at a specified interval.
I have selected the option to save a new file every time a picture is taken. This means that it leaves the existing pictures and creates a new file every time with an new name like cam_1339571007.jpg.
For the next step I use Google Picasa. Once installed and registered with a Google Picasa account. I open it up and add the folder c:\webcam. Then I configure Picasa to 'Watch' the folder for new files and add them to the new album.
Here's the clever bit.
Picasa allows you to configure the album to be automatically synchronized with your web album that you can set as public. You can also configure the image transfer settings to resize the pictures to save network traffic and online storage space (you get a gig free!).
Finally I have created a text file in c:\webcam\ named wipe.bat which has the text...
del c:\webcam\cam*.jpg
This runs at as a windows scheduled task in the morning removing all the previous files except my test pattern image. It is important to leave a file in the folder because Picasa will remove albums from view that have no photos.
The last step is to put the code on a webpage. Google's Picasa online albums have a embed slideshow feature to give you the code to put on a blog...

An up to date slide show for anyone who visits (may have to press F5 to refresh to see latest pictures added
You can leave the timershot program running and only open Picasa to sync photos at the end of the day.
Cons...
Timershot seems to only work with newer DirectShow type camera not the older TWAIN drivers sources(I am looking at alternatives).
